Your smile is powerful.

Our mission is to build a long-term relationship between our staff and dental patients and to provide quality, consumer friendly dental services the whole family can value in a happy environment.

DaVinci Dental was founded by Dr. Vincent Bridgewater. Theresa Joy Furbert joined him in 1990. Dr. Aleesha Maybury acquired the practice in 2019 and still runs it the same way: preventive care first, corrective care delivered with compassion, and a chair you are not afraid to sit in.

We are authorised Invisalign and Opalescence providers, and implants are where Dr. Maybury has trained hardest.

Everything your family needs, in one practice

Preventive and family

The work that stops the expensive work. Early, regular and for every age in the house.

Restorative

Five things we will not trade away

These are the practice’s own five values. Here is what each one means when you are actually in the chair.

Compassion

Plenty of people arrive braced for the worst. Crystal Wales, who runs our front desk, puts it plainly: “Some first-time patients arrive fearful and anxious and imagine ordinary procedures to be the worst thing ever. I can reassure them that everything will be ok.” That reassurance is part of the appointment, not an extra.

Where we have trained hardest

Dental implants and smile restoration

An implant replaces a missing tooth by acting as its root: a small post placed into the bone, then fitted with a crown or a set of teeth. It is the option people ask us about most, and the one we have put the most training behind.

  • Dr. Maybury studied implant surgery under Dr. Arun Garg in Miami and Boston.
  • Member of the International Dental Implant Association.
  • 30 hours of implant surgery performed on a missionary trip to the Dominican Republic.
  • Placing implants is minor oral surgery, so a certified oral surgeon or periodontist is sometimes required. We will tell you at the consultation if that applies to you.

What treatment actually costs

Most practices here will not put a number on a page. These are ours, published so you can plan before you pick up the phone.

Children under three Free

A full dental exam, at no charge. The right time for a first visit is when the first tooth comes through, or at 12 months, whichever comes first.

Teeth whitening $249from

In the chair or with a take-home kit. We will talk you through which suits your teeth at the appointment.

Invisalign Express 5 $2,200

The shorter course, around five weeks, for smaller movements. Suitability is decided at a consultation.

Invisalign Comprehensive $5,600max

The full course, 30 weeks and up. A retainer is needed afterwards to hold the result.

Prices vary, and here is what moves them

If your insurance includes orthodontic care, Invisalign costs may be covered. Every mouth is different, so timelines and results vary from patient to patient and nothing is decided until you have been examined.

Refer a friend, save 10%

Sharing is caring. Refer a friend to DaVinci Dental and we will thank you with 10% off your next cleaning appointment.

How referrals work

Your first visit, start to finish

Four steps. No surprises in the middle of them.

  1. Fill in the health background form

Your medical history matters to us more than it looks like it should. It changes what is safe to do and what we watch for.

  2. Share your insurance information

Bring your policy and group numbers. We can verify your benefits before the appointment if you ask us to.

  3. X-ray, clean and exam

Your hygienist takes the X-ray, does the cleaning and carries out the dental exam.

  4. A treatment plan built for you

Your dentist develops the plan, explains the order things should happen in, and what each part costs.

Insurance and payment

We file your dental insurance claim with your local insurer and accept your copayment when the work is done. Insurance correspondence can take up to two weeks.

  • CG Insurance
  • Argusincluding HIP
  • BF&Mincluding GEHI

Payment is due at the time of service. We take cash, cheque, Visa, Mastercard and online bank transfer. We accept Bermuda insurance coverage only, though we will provide official documentation for visitors who need to claim at home.

Full payment policy

“On January 9, 2020, I began my Invisalign process with Dr. Maybury at DaVinci Dental Services. Then struck COVID-19 less than 2 months later. I never had braces growing up but the older I got, the more my teeth shifted. I am still blown away at how quickly the process was.

Questions people actually ask us

Do you take my insurance?

We work with CG Insurance, Argus including HIP, and BF&M including GEHI. We file the claim with your insurer and take your copayment when the work is done. Bring your policy and group numbers, and we can verify your benefits before you come in. Insurance correspondence can take up to two weeks.

Is my child’s first visit really free?

Yes. Dental exams are free for children under three years old. The right time for a first visit is when the first tooth comes through or at 12 months, whichever comes first. Children who get an early, positive start with their dentist tend to have an easier time of it later.

How much does Invisalign cost?

The Express 5 course is $2,200 and runs about five weeks. The Comprehensive course runs 30 weeks and up, to a maximum of $5,600. Prices vary, and if your insurance includes orthodontic care, Invisalign costs may be covered. Whether either course suits your teeth is decided at a consultation, not before.

I am nervous about the dentist. What happens when I arrive?

You are told what is going to happen before anything happens. The practice was built around that: a welcoming, patient-centred room where the front desk, the hygienists and the dentist all expect the question. Plenty of first-time patients arrive braced for the worst. Say so when you book and we will plan the appointment around it.

Can I have my implant placed here in the office?

Often, yes. Placing an implant is minor oral surgery, so visiting a certified oral surgeon or periodontist is sometimes required, and we will tell you at the consultation if that applies to you. Dr. Maybury trained in implant surgery under Dr. Arun Garg in Miami and Boston and is a member of the International Dental Implant Association.

We are on the ground floor, Suite 8, CedarParkade on Washington Street in Hamilton. The entrance is on Cedar Avenue or on Washington Street by the Hamilton Bus Depot. We are open Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 3pm.

I am visiting Bermuda. Can you see me?

Yes, and we will give you official documentation to claim against your own insurer at home. We accept Bermuda insurance coverage only, so visiting patients pay in full at the time of service.
